Today, October 1, kicks off National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM), and the BARR Advisory team is proud to be recognized as a National Cybersecurity Awareness Month Champion.
Champions represent individuals, companies and organizations dedicated to promoting online safety and security at home and in the workplace.
“BARR’s mission is to help create a more secure world,” said Brad Thies, founder and president. “We work to guide our clients down a path toward security and compliance. This perfectly aligns with the mission of National Cybersecurity Awareness Month and its drive for a more safe, secure internet experience for all.”
NCSAM is co-led by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA). This year marks the 16th annual National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, with the theme of, “Own IT. Secure IT. Protect IT.” According to the NCSAM website, the goal is “to ensure every American has the resources they need to stay safe and secure online, while increasing the resilience of the nation against cyber threats.”
Throughout the month on our Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages, BARR will be sharing tips and simple steps to enhance cybersecurity at home, at work and on mobile devices.
